Each year the national VFW, State, District, and Local organizations sponsor programs for local youth and teachers. This year CMDR Daniell has set goals of at least 3 winners in each of the areas. I am looking for people to work on this committee with me to help him reach his goals.
The theme this year is How are you showing Patriotism support for our Country.
The first is Patriot Pen for sixth, seventh and eighth grade student to express in a written essay
The second is Voice of Democracy, this is an oral reading of 9th thru 12th grade students to express their feeling.
The third is teacher of the year for outstanding teachers who teach patriotism
